LANDTRIBE UK IS GO!

A Sussex based company has used its community fund to purchase 20 acres of wetland pasture for Landtribe’s UK base.  Kick starting a ‘Route of Fertility’ (link to Route of Fertility map/page) spreading natural farming practices and Nature conservation from Newhaven port in the UK to the Gardunha mountains in Portugal.

Running alongside the River Ouse - with many stunning natural water features – this pasture will be known as LANDTRIBE GREENLANDS.

Work has already started to preserve and enhance the existing biodiversity, which includes a resident Grey Heron – known fondly as ‘Mr./Ms. Heron'. The landscape will be improved with sensitive, native species planting.  A small regenerative farm on the roadside will serve the local community with nutrient dense food and facilitate regenerative learning.  Bird hides will give access to avid bird spotters and wildlife photographers, whilst those seeking ‘green space’ for wellbeing will be able to enjoy Nature walks and a sauna.

As the last bastion of green land between the Glynde/Firle Estate and North Industrial Estate, it was destined for development – but its precarious future has been protected!  Find out how GREENLANDS will be put into trust for Nature forever with a fascinating ‘community ownership’ model.  Like community energy, now well established, community land trusts can protect precious green spaces under threat of development.

As the understanding and replication of this business model grows, so will the Route of Fertility. Nature conservation and natural farming working together symbiotically to protect wildlife and help traditional farmers diversify.

Support GREENLANDS now by capturing your treasured memory of a loved one, new little one, local hero or remarkable event in the GREENLANDS FOREST OF MEMORIES.  Planted in honour of the local Newhaven community – this forest of beautiful trees will hold special memories in the land forever.  By remembering something special in this way, GREENLANDS will be protected from development, local food will be grown and the next generations can learn how to protect this green and pleasant land.

Email us at landtribe@gmail.com to express your interest in the GREENLANDS FOREST OF MEMORIES.  You’ll be the first to hear when the trees become available to plant in honour of your treasured memory. Numbers are limited to the natural capacity for succession trees in the forest.

Let’s grow the Route of Fertility together,

Landtribe
